Philosophy Of Falling In Love

So I've started a YGO GX fanfiction today and figured, I'd bring it on over here, to see what you all think of it so far. ^^; Mind you, I feel slightly bad, cause I know that Chazz is a little out of character, but considering what happened, I think it's allowed. Plus, I used the dub names, just cause...they were easiest to remember. :3 Enjoy!

Title: Philosophy Of Falling In Love
Chapter: (1) A Trap Hole Of My Own Despair
Genre: Romance/Angst
Rating: T (For Now. It'll Be M Later On)
Pairing: Chazz (Majoume)/Jaden (Judai)
Summary: Chazz doesn't care about the Slacker, He's Chazz Princeton. He Couldn't. But when his dreams, and thoughts start telling him differently, he understand that sometimes, it's just how you fall in love.

There was a slight ticking, tick-tock and it was beginning to get on Chazz’s nerves. He twitched, his eyes darting around the room, where was the wretched noise coming from? He moved from the bed, feeling much slower than usual, and frowning at the thought. He’d opted to sleep without this trench coat and ear plugs tonight, because…why? He didn’t remember taking off the trench though. Shaking his head he trudged about the room, listening to this ticking. He checked the drawers, under the bed, everywhere he could think of looking, and still no clock. The only place he hadn’t checked was his deck, and why would his deck be ticking? Turning, his eyes landed on the deck, lay out on the bedside table, his three Ojama’s lying together. That’s definitely not where the ticking was coming from, and that he knew for sure. He glared into room, opening his mouth to speak, but no words coming from within. He didn’t want to panic, so he tried again and put his hand on his throat. The ticking started to get louder and louder until it hurt his ears, forcing him from the room. He dashed out, but it he felt so sluggish. No matter how fast he wanted to run, he just wasn’t going. There, down below the Slifer dorms were the rest of the group, laughing and being merry and he tried, tried calling out to them, but again his voice wouldn’t work and the ticking was following him now. He continued his run, to the stairs that seemed to melt away under his feet as he took them two at a time. He called out again, nothing but a strangled scream coming out. The group turned their eyes so empty, to look at him, and Chazz felt a chill go up his spine. Why, were they looking at him like that? Like he was disgusting, like he’d done something wrong, had he? The eyes then turned dark and their laughs could be heard over the ticking. They were pointing at him now, all laughing harmoniously at his pain, as he stood, now frozen at the bottom of the stairs. He felt himself anger, they were laughing at him? They couldn’t laugh at him, he was Chazz Princeton! He was legendary. He was – His train of thought was cut off, as the floor opened up beneath him, a black hole trap hole revealing itself. Another scream left from his throat this time, loud and powerful.

“Chazz! Chazz, man, get up!”

Chazz was screaming louder now, as he clung to the side of the hole, clung to his very life, as it seemed to him. His friends
“Chazz!”

He felt himself shaking and closed his eyes, he couldn’t hold much longer to the side of the hole. His fingers were slipping, and finally he let go, with a wrenching scream, hell fell into the darkness.

“Chazz, Come on buddy!”

His eyes shot open, and the light of the room overwhelmed him, but then adjusted quickly. There above him was a worried looking brunette and with him a few others. Chazz could feel another scream in his throat and he was trying to hold it back, but with the trembles that shook his body, he was having a hard time holding on to it. looking down at him, all laughing and pointing, even Jaden. The one he thought would take care of him. The one he thought would always been there for him, even if he did treat him badly.

Jaden, who had first heard Chazz screaming, was standing over him. The blue ear plugs that Chazz normally wore, discarded in the attempt to wake the screaming, sleeping boy. Chazz continued to tremble, and was angry on the inside that the others were seeing him like this. Though, he feared that if he opened his mouth to speak, another scream would just be released. He made a mental note that the Slacker was on wrong territory. Why’d the other come? It was just a nightmare…another nightmare. It’d been the fourth one this week. However, this one apparently was increasingly more vivid and violent than the others. That’s when he realized that Jaden was talking to him, so his eyes upturned to the boy, and he mustered out,

“What?”

“I said, are you alright…You were screaming, ” Jaden said, and from behind him, Chazz could heard Bastion’s voice whispering to Zane who stood quietly watching the trembling boy.

“I-I just had a bad dream, Slacker.” Chazz tried to stop the trembling, this wasn’t like him. Jaden looked over Chazz and then nodded.

“Well, alright if you say so…” though by the tone, Chazz knew Jaden wanted to know more.

“Yes, I do…now you all can get out,” Chazz huffed and glared, but unconvincingly to the group of onlookers.

As if the glare had worked, they all began filing out of the small dorm room, Jaden the last at the door. He looked back to Chazz with a worried expression.

“Sy, Chum and I are right next door, if you need something Chazz, Okay?”

“Yeah, Slacker,” Was Chazz’s response as Jaden pushed his way out of the room, replacing the door.

Chazz lay back on the bed. He’d stopped the trembling, but with the quiet of the room, he was beginning to get that uneasy feeling again. He turned to his bedside table, exactly the way it had been in the dream. The deck sitting delicately, with the three Ojama brother’s laying side by side in front of the deck. He shook his head, trying again to erase the memory. Trying to erase the way Jaden’s face had been in the dream. Nothing at all like the Jaden he knew, no happiness there, no friendliness either. Just, hate. Chazz didn’t know why he cared if the boy hated him or note, but it bothered him to the bones, the mere thought.

An intake of breath and Chazz closed his eyes again, trying unsuccessfully to fall back into a slightly peaceful slumber. Sleep, he realized after fifteen minutes, wasn’t going to come again this night.
